Hello, today I'm gonna be reviewing one of my April favorites which is Vanilla & Co.'s Witch Hazel Beauty Tonic!

At first, I don't know exactly what I was supposed to do with this and also, I bought it from Zalora (from my previous haul) Let's look at the ingredients first, shall we?

Ingredients: Water, Witch Hazel Extract, Tea Tree Extract, Lemon Extract, Peppermint Extract, Vitamin C
  • Witch Hazel - Witch hazel is known for reducing the inflammation on a pimple, shrink bags under the eyes, treat dry skin, treat and soothe a nasty sunburn and other more. It has so much benefits for our skin that's why some people use witch hazel as their skincare regimen.
  • Tea Tree - Tea Tree Extract is used to treat acne, athlete's foost, eczema, various yeast infections and etc. It's also an antiseptic to be used on cuts and burns.
  • Lemon - rich in alpha hydroxy acids that helps exfoliate the skin and get rid of dead skin cells. It's also a blackhead remover, skin brightener and sunburn reliever. Lemon is also used for whitening dark ares like underarm and knees.
  • Peppermint - it gives soothing effect on the skin by its cooling action.
  • Vitamin C - it is a powerful and effective antioxidant that protects our bodies from free radicals.

See those health benefits that this tonic gives?

This is my first ever beauty tonic and it seems like I'm going to have my second beauty tonic from Vanilla & Co. I'm surprised how it's really helpful this beauty tonic is especially with this weather, it makes you feel like you should wash your face every hour! (Which is bad, of course) I was so glad I bought this.

* If you're going to spray the product on to your face, mist from an arm's length to face. Wipe excess. I usually let the excess product dry on my skin.

With this tonic's benefits, you can use it also as a toner. Just grab a cotton or cotton pad then spray around 2 or 3 times then wipe your face. I personally use this only as a mist because I already have a toner.

You don't have to worry on waiting for too long just to make it dry, if you're uncomfortable with the feeling then wipe it off with a cotton or cotton pad. For me, I just let the mist dry on my skin. Also, it dries absorbs quickly so don't fret.

Vanilla & Co. makes me want to purchase more of their product because of their affordable prices lol. I mean PhP 189.00 / 150 mL for this tonic?! Why the heck not? It's pretty affordable if you ask me. And it's 2-in-1. Mist and toner!

What I love about this product:
  • Simple packaging
  • Easy to use
  • The ingredient's benefits!
  • It's 2-in-1
  • Everytime my face feels sticky, I use this and it never fails to do its job
  • It hydrates your skin without feeling sticky (anymore!)

What I do not like about this product:
  • None! :)

Repurchase? Yes!!

Recommend? Yes. I recommend this beauty tonic to those who want an affordable 2-in-1 mist and tonic. Also, for oily/acne-prone skin.

Once again, another product that works for my skin! 'till next time.

{FAVES} April Favorites! CURE Natural Aqua Gel, Celeteque, Vanilla & Co and Venus & Mars!

Since it's already May, it's time for me to post my April favorites! These past few weeks, I'm using so many different products for my skin and I never been this aware of my skin. Usually what I only do is slap myself with my sunflower oil from Human Nature then go to bed. Now, I'm using so many products and so far I'm glad that it worked for my skin.

Jadaaan~ My lurves of my life last April.

① CURE Natural Aqua Gel
  • Japan's No. 1 exfoliator "1 bottle SOLD every 12 seconds in Japan!" is now in the Philippines. CURE Natural Aqua Gel is known for being a famous exfoliator that removes 0.01 mm of dead skin and dirt while supporting the regeneration of the skin. Why CURE? CURE is the most gentle exfoliation for your skin. It doesn't have those beads that would rub on your skin. It's 90% Water (hydrogen water), preservative free, coloring free, mineral oil free and artificial fragrance free. It's safe to use for all skin types! What makes me buy CURE is the reviews that I read from blogs. I was supposed to buy this from an online shop but since I have no money, I went emo lol. Then, suddenly there was a CUREphil fanpage that I found and also Sample Room. I was super duper uber suprised that CURE is actually available now in Beauty Bar Philippines! Yaaaay! I was so excited that I withdrawed from my bank account and bought my own bottle. After using it, I noticed that my skin was brighter than ever! It seems like I'm gonna say goodbye to my dull skin, and hello bright and flawless skin! :)
  • If I were you, CURE is actually a good investment if you're looking for a good exfoliator. You'll never regret buying CURE!

CELETEQUE Acne Clearing Facial Moisturizer Gel
  • I love how Celeteque has this Acne Clearing moisturizer gel. Why? First, I dislike rich and creamy moisturizers especially on a weather like this hot! I was so glad that I bought a gel type moisturizer that is not heavy when you apply on your face and at the same time contains ingredients that reduce sebum secretion that leads to acnes and blackheads. Say No! to rich and creamy moisturizers (for oily and acne prone skin) and say hello to Celeteque's Acne Solution Line Moisturizer Gel!
  • They have a skin analyzer where they recommend you products that is suited for your skin which is helpful if you do not know which product would you buy.

Vanilla & Co. Witch Hazel Beauty Tonic
  • It refreshes, hydrates and moisturizes my delicate skin despite the hot weather! What can I say with this product? It does it job and it's also 2-in-1! In short, it's used as a mist and also as a toner. I will write a review of this after this post. A very affordable mist that is natural and safe.

Venus &Mars Emu Radiance Cream
  • This product is my fave because I love using it as a moisturizer before my BB cream. Why? Because it DOES gives you this powder finish! It's pure, refined and light in texture. It's also contains my favorite ingredient which is Emu Oil. This product is also Hypo Allergenic  natural, organic and etc. Now, this cream is actually 3-in-1! Moisturizing day and night cream and primer that turns powdery. It's actually one of V&M must try (for me) because it really gives me this radiant glow. Anyway, I actually finished this tub and it took me I think 2-3 months.

Giveaways? Do not fret!

{REVIEW} Human Nature Natural Lip Balm Peppermint Review

Posted by Unknown Filed under: , , , , ,

Today I'll be reviewing Human Nature's Natural Lip Balms. They have 4 yummy flavors: Wild Berry, Tutti Fruti, Choco Fudge and Peppermint. Human Nature's Natural Lip Balms is included in my skincare routine.

I remembered when I was still in High School, my first lip balm from Human Nature was the Peppermint flavor (I think I was around 3rd or 4th year HS back then) and up until now, I'm still using their lip balms!

Now, I'm gonna show you their product description of their lip balm which I got from their site:

Your lips need protection too! Our better-than-ever 100% natural lip balms are made only with the finest blend of cocoa butter, beeswax, and pure natural plant oils. Now you can experience a smoother, softer glide and mouth-watering natural flavors that are sure to keep you reaching for your lip balm again and again...and again!

Perfect as a base for Mineral Hydrating Lipstick, they're great for everyday use even if you’re going for a natural look or even no make-up at all! :)

Did you know: A lot of women use lip balms without realizing they contain petroleum, mineral oil, paraffin, synthetic chemicals derived from crude oil – the same one used to make gasoline for your car!

So far I have tried 3 of their flavors which is Wild Berry, Choco Fudge and Peppermint. I have no picture of the two lip balm flavors (which is the Wild Berry and Choco Fudge) because my Wild Berry got lost at school while my Choco Fudge, I threw it away. You'll know why!

First, I hate how loose their cap is. It can easily detach and the lipbalm could stick to any objects inside your bag. Ever since I bought my first Peppermint, this is always the problem of their lip balm which is the Packaging. Their lip balms are natural so if I were you, you won't put it to a room that's hot because I had a friend and she also has Human Nature's lipbalm. It's really hot inside their dorm (according to her) that even her dormmate's make-ups (lipsticks, lipbalm) are melting. So be careful where you place your lipbalms especially if it's natural.

What to love about this product:

  • It doesn't feel heavy on your lips
  • It gives this cool feeling since it's peppermint!
  • It moisturizes your lips but not over moisturizes

What I don't like about this product:
  • The cap easily detaches
  • Once you've used this for so long, you won't feel the cool feeling anymore
  • Retouch is a must if you have to drink water, eat & etc.

Okay, I don't mind all those negatives cause I'm gonna show you the fun part of using this lip balm. So everytime I have to get ready before bed, I use this lip balm more that I should in the morning. Why? Because it'll remove your dead skin!

I have dry lips and this is the thing that I really really want. Okay, I'm gonna show you why. This is the result of applying their lip balm on your lips then wiping it off with a clean cloth. I used a black one just to show you the effect.

See that white thing? It's the dead skin! *v*

Repurchase? Yes. But a different flavor, of course. I have to try them all except the Choco Fudge. I also wanted to try their tinted lip balms.

Recommend? SUPER! If you're looking for a cheap, natural and effective lipbalm then this is the one that I would really recommend for you.

Why not the Choco Fudge? Because I don't like the scent of it. It smells like Zagu to be honest and it makes me sick. I don't know why. Sad..

Next time, I'll review the Wild Berry when I finished my Peppermint one. 'till next time! :)

{HAUL} Got my package from Zalora!

I really love ordering products from Zalora. This is my second time buying from them and all of them have N.O. flaws! By the way, this is not sponsored. I just like to tell what I feel and comments regarding Zalora.

image

My package from Zalora. 2nd order!~

Zalora offers Cash On Delivery which is great because less hassle, right? Instead of ordering in online shops and you have to commute somewhere just to deposit the payment to their bank accounts. It's really a hassle for a lazy bum like me! Teehee .They also offer discounts if you spent a minimum of 2,500 or maybe 3,000 (but it depends on them. Usually it ranges from that price). Also, they offer FREE SHIPPING when you spent 1,000 PHP! It's like a dream come true for me. Usually, online shops only give discounts when you order in bulk so I'm glad I discovered Zalora.

Once you signed up for their newsletter, you'll receive a 250 PHP VOUCHER! Weeee~ More to spend! It's also helpful that you get their newsletter because sometimes they include coupon codes there. Coupon codes = DISCOUNTS!

I'm from San Pedro, Laguna and usually it would take 5-7 days before it arrives here... BUT mine actually arrived after 2 days (my previous order arrived after 3 days)!! Fast delivery, gives you discounts, accepts COD and more!

Go try Zalora, everyone. They also sell organic brands like V&M, Vanilla & Co and Leyende. Mommy Patch is still out of stock and I have no idea when will they restock again.

That's all for now~

'till the next wishlist! :)

Btw: all of these products can be bought in Mimi & Tofu Online Shop :)

{REVIEW} Venus & Mars Naturals / V&M Jagermeister Pore Suit

Posted by Unknown Filed under: , , , , ,

Today I’ll be reviewing V&M’s Jagermeister Pore Suit (Php 255). I ordered this from Zalora last March 25, 2013 and received it after 3-4 days. My payment method was Cash On Delivery. I would really recommend ordering there! They have V&M, Mommy Patch, Barenaturals and Vanilla & Co.
My previous facial wash that I was using was Human Nature Tomato Extract Facial Wash. It was like other products.. it will be effective at first, but after a few months it’ll not be effective anymore. :(

image
image What it promises:
  • dramatically cleanses, minimizes and clears pores deep within
  • prevents pores from clogging up again by constructing pore diameter and allowing room for new cell growth
I bought this since it seems promising ayt? And due to my oily/acne prone skin + the super summer heat here in the Philippines makes my face very oily.
image
image
image The results:
The results was just… WOW! There were so many improvement in my skin. My pores in my nose as of now is not clogged anymore. Previously, my pores in my nose were super big and clogged! And when you squeeze it (I know it’s bad to squeeze blackheads but..) there’s this huge blackhead that will go out from that pore. image Gross, right?
Also, the redness and size of my pimples was reduced in just 2-3 days. My only problem is that I always sleep late because I’m addict (guiltyy!) = newborn pimples. image
imagePros:
  • it cleanses, minimizes and clears pores
  • good for clearing up blackheads and acnes
  • the smell is not too strong
  • good packaging design (I’ll give it 4 stars)
  • it’s quite affordable since you don’t have to use too much to form the foam
  • recommended for those who are having trouble with their acnes, blackheads and big pores
  • despite the temperature here in the Philippines (sweat = acne), this bar will really cleanse your pores giving you this squeaky clean feeling after washing your face
image Cons:
  • if you want something that really removes that has fast results, this is not for you
I will post more reviews of V&M products. Stay tuned! :)
